Cupless Race Information

There are aid stations every 1-2.6 miles on course providing water and electrolytes. There will NOT be disposable cups at the aid stations.

You will need to provide your own hydration system for your race: collapsible cups/bottles, bottles that strap to your hand, a waist belt, or a hydration vest are all good options. You’ll be racing at ~6,500 ft of elevation in a low-humidity environment and hydration is super important.

Aid stations are equipped with fast-flow spouts on all drink coolers to make the refill quick and smooth. Volunteers at the busier aid stations will also have pitchers to refill your cup/bottle/etc.

DID YOU KNOW?

If every racer on the course used 1 cup per aid station, the race would generate about 7,200 cups. Obviously, this is a pretty low estimate since we know that many runners grab 2 cups at each aid station.

Most of those cups end up in the trash, which is a bummer. But, inevitably, some of them miss the trash cans and end up as litter along the course, which is an even bigger bummer. Would we pick them up? Of course. But wait until you feel that wind in the last 2 miles. Those cups are GONE.
